Bio

Adam Plomaritas effortlessly arrives at the seamless intersection of sophisticated rock, country, and soul. The Ypsilanti, Michigan-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist intricately fuses a warm, bluesy trinity of sound across his thoughtful, intimate catalog.

With hints of Michael McDonald, Amos Lee, and Ray Charles, Plomaritas wraps listeners in a soothing, genre-defying embrace. His emotive vocals, hypnotic instrumentation, and introspective tales provide a comforting reassurance about overcoming challenges in life and love.

Plomaritas initially connected with audiences on his contemplative debut EP, Leave the Light On, in 2012. That first release allowed him to demonstrate the powerful vocal delivery, songwriting prowess, and virtuoso guitarmanship he had steadily built since childhood.

While growing up in a music-loving household, Plomaritas quickly absorbed his father’s appreciation for Elvis Presley and Boston. He composed arena rock-inspired songs with catchy lyrics and melodies by age eight and strummed a seafoam green electric guitar by age 10.

As a teen, Plomaritas added bass, piano, and drums to his growing musical repertoire and played in high school bands and church youth groups. Other formative gigs included open mics and coffee shops before graduating to listening rooms and festival stages with Theo Katzman, Antwaun Stanley, and Joshua Davis.

By 2013, Plomaritas released his noteworthy, fan-funded album, The Hard Way, which was largely tracked live to two-inch analog tape. The album featured memorable collaborations with Chris DuPont, Joe Dart (Vulfpeck), Mike Shea (My Dear Disco/Ella Riot), Billy Harrington, and others.

Affectionately dubbed the “Telecaster-toting grizzly,” Plomaritas continued to share a series of ingenious covers and compelling originals, including the hearty, pedal steel-drenched single, “The Other Side,” in 2018. He accompanied those releases with revered live sets at The Ark, 20 Front Street, and the Ann Arbor Summer Festival.

Plomaritas is preparing for the upcoming release of his long awaited new EP, “Old Time Love” which is due out December 1, 2023.
